Mikhail Evgrafovich Saltykov-Shchedrin,
"Poshekhon antiquity"
Life of Nikanor Zatrapezny, Poshekhonsky nobleman

Publisher Digital Books, 2013
(Series: Masterpieces of Russian Literature)

This is the last work written by the author. In it, he moves away from his satirical style and talks about the life and way of life of Russian people at the time when he was still a child. Some see in this work a denunciation of the serfdom, others see nostalgia for bygone times.

I remind fans of the Russian language that the book preserves the author’s style and spelling accepted at the time of its writing.

If you liked the book, don’t consider it difficult - add stars to your reviews about it.
